    They said the “initial” fill was Mobil Delvac. That would only mean it was the very first fill, not all the fills after that.

      A 10w-40 conventional Delvac would be perfect! That 15w seems a bit thick for NY winters, which is the only reason I run the 5w-40 synthetic.

      @@Hubjeep well a 15w-40 that’s synthetic will can have better cold flow performance than a conventional 10w-40 depending on brand. One thing that is certain is that full synthetic or synthetic blend oils generally flow better in cold temps

    This motor suerly has different kind of oil filters that are able to filter different sizes of deposits so it can use the oil longer.

      Sure. Bypass filtration, whether it be a centrifuge or just a canister design can easily keep high quality synthetics in like new condition for long intervals. It doesn’t hurt that these type of engines have huge sumps . That’s not taking anything away from Delvac1 oils. They’re still one of the few that use a large percentage of PAO base stocks in their products. It’s a top shelf oil that must be run very long intervals to make it cost effective.
